You will be taught how to apply chalk and oil pastels, appropriate surfaces and how to mix colours.

Pastels are an excellent medium to create quick sketches and do not require any additional equipment, such as brushes. They can easily be blended with fingers to achieve tone, highlights and shade.

Still life and life drawings are an excellent subjects to practice using pastels, whilst also looking at the art work of other artists who use this medium.
