Art Tuition

I believe that art has the ability to connect all ages and abilities, where people come together to be inspired and to create.

 

Since gaining my BA (Hons) and MA in Fine Art I have taught art at Canterbury College and at private art classes held in Maidstone, to adult learners from sixteen to eighty.

 

At Canterbury College teaching on the Access to Art and Design, HND Fine Art and the BA (Hons) Fine Art, I introduced students to a variety of mediums and techniques, including pencil, paint and print; considering perspective, scale and composition. Many of the students on the access course had little or no previous experience. Some attended the course to build a portfolio of artwork, others just wishing to learn new skills. On the HND and Degree in Fine Art I supported students through art workshops and exhibitions.

 

In the private art classes I have introduced students to pencil, paint and pastels through still life and a variety of projects that consider perspective, scale and composition.

 

I thoroughly enjoy teaching art and meeting new people through my classes.
